The Egyptian government plans to increase the supply of electricity generated from renewable sources to 42% by 2035. Whilst one of Egypt’s largest privately developed utility-scale solar projects – the Kom Ombo PV solar plant – is kicking off, much of the country remains underserved, off-grid solutions, storage systems and decentralized power will play a key role in that process. There is also an increasing demand for commercial and industrial (C&I). Furthermore, Egypt’s position as  a regional energy hub is shaping up with several interconnections in the MENA region and towards Europe.

The 2-day conference will bring together developers, EPCs, IPPs, technology providers, policy makers, storage suppliers, investors, financing institutions and other local and international stakeholders to discuss the next steps for ensuring that Egypt meets its renewable energy generation targets.
